Built to convert, not just to look good

Neroli is a conversational theme — the store answers questions as a customer thinks of them, in the order they think of them. Shop-by-need navigation instead of category lists, benefit icons before specifications, "Ask a question" beside the price rather than buried in a contact page. Every element is a setting or a drag-and-drop block. Nothing requires a developer.

The mechanism

Built properly, on purpose

The parts a merchant never sees but always feels — and the reason the theme is fast without a performance app bolted on afterwards.

  1. 01

    No external libraries

No jQuery, no framework, nothing loading from a third-party CDN. Zero external JavaScript libraries in the whole theme.

  2. 02

    Server-rendered first paint

Products and prices are in the HTML immediately, rather than appearing after a script runs. Zero layout shift from images.

  3. 03

    WCAG 2.2 AA principles

Native dialogs with real focus traps, genuine form controls, full keyboard navigation, visible focus states and reduced-motion support.

  4. 04

    Complete structured data

Product with machine-readable specifications, plus Breadcrumb, FAQ, Article and Organization markup throughout.

The claim, evidenced

Why we say SEO, AEO and GEO — and what backs it

Most themes claim to be SEO friendly and mean they have a title tag field. These are the specific decisions behind the claim, and every one is checkable in the demo store.

SEO

Search engines have to reach the content and read it fast.

  • Server-rendered first paint — products and prices are in the HTML, not added by a script
  • Zero external JavaScript libraries, and zero layout shift from images
  • Load more appends products while standard pagination keeps working underneath, so every product stays reachable without JavaScript
  • Subcategory navigation as real crawlable links, not a script-driven widget
  • Long-form content placed below the grid where it belongs, not above the products
  • A location page template for merchants with shops or service areas

AEO

Answer engines lift direct answers, and they need them marked up.

  • FAQ accordions on collection and product pages, each emitting FAQ structured data
  • Product schema carrying machine-readable specifications rather than prose only
  • Breadcrumb, Article and Organization markup across the templates
  • "Ask a question" captures the questions customers actually ask, so your FAQ content comes from real demand

GEO

Generative engines quote what they can parse and attribute.

  • Specifications exposed as structured values from Shopify category metafields, not buried in a description
  • Metaobject-driven content, so what you enter once is rendered consistently across every page that needs it
  • Structured data regenerated from your real fields as content changes, rather than hand-written and left to rot
  • Clean semantic markup with genuine headings and landmarks throughout

The system

Six areas, every one a setting

Neroli is configured, not coded. Layouts, blocks and behaviour are chosen from the theme editor, then overridden per collection or product through metafields — so two hundred collections do not mean two hundred theme edits.

Dynamic content, without a developer

  • Metaobject output

Collection and product pages read Shopify metaobjects directly, so content you enter once in the admin appears wherever it belongs — no theme edit, no app, no developer.

  • Category metafields

Product category metafields render automatically into specification tables and At a glance cards, so a catalogue of thousands stays consistent without manual work per product.

  • Product schema, generated

Product structured data is produced from your real fields, including machine-readable specifications, rather than being hand-written per product.

  • Collection schema, generated

Collection pages emit their own structured data and FAQ markup dynamically from the content you have entered.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is Neroli available to buy yet?

Neroli has been submitted to the Shopify Theme Store and is awaiting review. You can explore the full demo store now, and we will tell you the moment it is listed. In the meantime you can ask us anything about it directly.

Do I need a developer to set it up?

No. Every element described here is a theme setting or a drag-and-drop block, including header layout, product page block order, filtering and the bundle builder. Content scales through Shopify metafields rather than through theme edits.

How does Neroli use Shopify metaobjects?

Collection and product pages read metaobjects and category metafields directly, so anything you enter in the Shopify admin appears on the storefront without a theme edit. Specification tables, benefit cards, FAQs and long-form content all populate from your own fields as the catalogue grows.

Do I need a developer to add structured data?

No. Neroli generates Product and Collection structured data from your real fields, including machine-readable specifications and FAQ markup, and it updates as the content does. This matters for search engines and increasingly for AI answer engines, which read structured data to decide what a page is about.

Will Neroli slow my store down?

Neroli ships with zero external JavaScript libraries — no jQuery, no framework, nothing from a third-party CDN. The first paint is server-rendered, so products and prices are in the HTML immediately, and images are sized to prevent layout shift.

Can I change settings for one collection without affecting the others?

Yes. Collection settings can be set globally and then overridden per collection through metafields, covering hero content, benefit cards, SEO copy, FAQs and related collections. Two hundred collections do not mean two hundred theme edits.

What does the bundle builder do?

It is a full quantity-break and bundle section. Customers pick one item from each product group to assemble a set, with three configurable discount tiers tied to your Shopify automatic discounts and a live summary showing selections and savings as they build.
